The Savers family of brands, which includes Savers, Value Village, and Village des Valeurs, is one of the leading thrift retailers and clothing recyclers globally. On National Thrift Shop Day, we celebrated shoppers who create gorgeous looks with secondhand finds—in two very unique ways.
First, we dropped a retrofitted (yes, secondhand!) shipping container in Seattle. Then we flipped the container three times in one day, creating three distinct thrifted spaces curated by local influencers.
The following year, we celebrated even more shoppers. In a social-first campaign, we launched our own award show: The Thrifties. We shipped custom shopping cart trophies to thrift influencers across the country and around the world—and social looooooved it.
Our Thrifties campaign won Gold at the 2020 Shorty Awards. And I still keep a tiny gold shopping cart on my desk.
